Filter search uses a static index downloaded to the browser. Comparison selections are stored in localStorage under the key wfsCompare. Replacement calendar files are generated locally in the browser.
WaterFilterSpecs does not receive the installation date entered into the reminder dialog unless a future feature explicitly says otherwise.
Infrastructure data
Cloudflare processes standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timing and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Retention and jurisdiction depend on the active provider configuration.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled to collect aggregate page-view and performance timing metrics. The lookup, comparison and reminder tools remain account-free, and reminder installation dates are not transmitted by this analytics beacon.
When a visitor submits an identifier for which no reviewed match exists, WaterFilterSpecs may record only its normalized letters and numbers, an approximate country code, the site surface and an aggregate count in Workers Analytics Engine. The search-gap dataset does not store an IP address, cookie, account, email address or the original free-form string; it is used only to prioritize source research.
Advertising and consent
Advertising code is disabled in the source repository by default. Before personalized or measurement advertising is enabled, the production site must implement the consent and disclosure controls required for the visitor’s jurisdiction and the selected advertising provider.
This policy will be updated with the exact provider, cookie names, purposes and opt-out controls before ad serving begins.

Material privacy changes will update the visible review date and this page. Privacy requests can be sent to privacy@waterfilterspecs.com after the domain mailbox is configured.
