One canonical page per filter family
Single packs, two-packs and subscription variants do not receive separate SEO pages. They resolve to the same cartridge identity unless the physical filter or certification model is different.
An exact-model gate for refrigerator pages
A refrigerator model receives its own indexable page only when an official manufacturer page, owner manual or parts lookup directly connects that exact identifier to a filter family. We do not expand a relationship across similar prefixes, finishes, years or regional suffixes.
Model pages preserve the complete identifier and keep appliance-specific reset guidance separate from generic filter installation instructions.
Evidence hierarchy
- Certification directory or exact performance data sheetBest evidence for standards and contaminant claims.
- Official manufacturer product or support pagePrimary evidence for identity, capacity, fit statements and replacement intervals.
- Owner manual or parts lookupPrimary evidence for appliance-model compatibility and installation.
- Authorized retailer specificationUsed only when primary material is not yet accessible and labeled accordingly.
Evidence grades
Direct manufacturer specifications with strong exact-model coverage; multiple primary sources where compatibility is complex.
Official manufacturer source supports the family, but a direct certification-directory or performance-sheet match remains incomplete.
Identity is credible, but one or more operating specifications rely on a secondary source and are explicitly labeled.
Research record exists but cannot be indexed until minimum evidence requirements are met.
Claims we do not infer
- A standard number is never expanded into every claim offered by that standard.
- A physical look-alike is never assumed compatible.
- Package marketing is not converted into a health recommendation.
- An old part number is not labeled superseded without an explicit source.
Publishing gates in the repository
The build fails when it finds duplicate normalized filter or appliance identifiers, unknown model-to-filter references, broken evidence links, unsupported related pages, future review dates, thin indexable records, placeholder language or broken internal links.
The public filter and refrigerator datasets include review dates and sources so corrections can be specific.
Review cadence
A full source-health and inventory review is planned twice each year. Corrections are processed continuously when a reader or source owner provides exact evidence.
